Off and Running

So, Lowell High had its first XC meet of the year, through Maudslay State Park in Newburyport. (Some beautiful trails up that way, I took the time to explore them meself after the races were done. Quality trails, great scenery, lots of options to create all sizes of loops.)

Here's the whole pack starting out for the first leg: Here's Andrew (no, he's not in last place, he ran the third leg of his team, which, as Barry knows all too well, is known as the Anchor leg.)
Armed with the baton, Andrew heads off into the woods:
And comes out the other side about 12 minutes later:
With 195 relay teams running, Lowell took top honors and got the season off on the right foot!

Nice running Andrew! Did Barry give you some tips on how to run that leg? I can't think of any other explanation as to how you did so well. Congrats and I look forward to many more highlights this fall.
