Easter Rabbits

Easter weekend, and the jackrabbits got out there for our last "long" run before next week's Boston Marathon. We took to the wild roads of Westford for the final 10 miler, and had a healthy showing of E Streeters turn out for the occasion.

Here, the Four Horsemen dodge cars on the busy Westford roadwaysRunning off into the early morning sun, we catch a break from the steady stream of a.m. commuters
Home for the Easter holiday from Holy Cross, Andrew struggles to keep up with his old man
Wanting no part of Marathon mania and seeking to find safer roads for the city boys, Scott and John try to distance themselves from the pack
In the end, awaits the primary reason we run from East Boston Camps - Stony Brook Farms across the street, and its abundant selection of healthy muffins.

Do you know the muffin men?So, as Victoria would say, "the hay's in the barn," the distance training is done for the Boston Marathon. All that remains now for Barry, Tommy, Ryan, and I is a week of rest, decent nights' sleep, eating healthy, and staying focused. And all of that goes out the window when we wake up to 80 degree temperatures on Monday and realize we have 26.2 miles in front of us!

Good Luck to all the E Streeter Marathon Men! Pain is temporary, glory is forever. Easy for me to say but you might find it inspirational. I'll be following everyone's progress and cheering you on. Stay thirsty my friends (figuratively not literally)!
