So, let's get started with a quick warm-up run, our last miles before the big race, with a trip around not just our hotel - the Art of Animation, but the nearby Pop Century as well. Having run the previous weekend in -2 temps, we knew right away things were going to be different when we were able to get away with just shorts and tee shorts in 82 degree temps. Yeah, an 80 degree swing! Not to mention the oppressive humidity.
Check out these big yo-yos. I'm talking about the giant Duncan ones behind us, not Barry and I
A Bunch of Potato Heads
Check the pecs!
On to Radiator Springs! In a preview of his Marathon to come, Barry poses with Lightning McQueen. Kachow! That's the sound of Barry taking off from the starting line.
Me, I was just tired
And yeah, Barry and I have been known to hang around with a Tramp or two. Because you know, Tramps Like Us, Baby We Were Born To Run. Any distance, any time.
Heading back to the hotel, we bumped into fellow E Streeter and Middlesex Community College runner, Cherie Comeau, in Disney to log her half marathon. Hakuna Matata!
Warm-ups out of the way, it's time to head to the parks and start carbo-loading for the big races!
