A Magic Kingdom Birthday

My sweetie's birthday, and what better place for her to spend it than in the home of the mouse named Mickey, the Magic Kingdom!
Jack deservedly captured the Best Mother Award from her two favorite Mouseketeers
Even a wet start to the day couldn't put a damper on the excitement and fun.
We hooked up with the Clan Scanlon for a good chunk of the day, long enough to hear Barry squealing like a banshee on the rails of Big Thunder Mountain railroad.
With Big Thunder in the background, Team Scanlon
And then Team Cook
Because everyone should get to shoot lasers at aliens on their birthday
Too much sweetness for this cup of tea
Sometimes, you really can't find the words to do justice to a picture.  This would be one of those times.  Let's just say that Barry had his bell rung and leave it at that.
Moments before the Scanlons sat down for a mouth-watering turkey dinner at the Liberty Tavern, we were able to pull off a group photo
It wasn't my birthday that day, but the opportunity to pose next to the specially painted monorail in honor of my all-time favorite comic book was a gift I just couldn't pass up.  I managed to run and get my picture next to the Avengers on the other cars as well, but showing those pics would just be geek overload.  Let's just shout Avengers Assemble and move on.
A birthday dinner at the California Grill high atop the Contemporary Hotel afforded us a spectacular bird's eye view of the Magic Kingdom.
Not to mention being a romantical setting for two lovebirds
Inside the restaurant, Heather deftly wields the chopsticks to snare some mouth-watering tuna sushi
And finally, the birthday girl herself, with her special message written on a chocolate bar from the California Grill!  Happy Birthday, hope it was a magical day!

Looks like a perfect birthday to me! Especially for a Disney fan. :) Glad to see Andrew was able to ride BTMRR this time after missing it due to the meat overload last time.

What a way to celebrate a birthday! I don't think it can get much better. Glad to see the birthday girl and everyone else having such a good time.
